Maureen Herben

Maureen works as a Product Designer at Miro, Amsterdam after having worked and lived in Berlin for the past 10 years.  Her journey into UX design isn’t a typical one. After dropping out of art school and deciding that a career in art is not the right move, Maureen worked at a start-up in Berlin and later on switched careers to become a UX designer. Her struggles of starting in a new industry inspired her to share her story online, in hopes to motivate and help other career switchers. What started as a hobby turned into a passion for community building and content creation.

She build a 42k+ online community from the ground up, hosted design events for Friends of Figma Berlin and creates YouTube videos and webinars for online schools.
